DISTRICT GOVERNOR • Dave Titus
Lion Dave transferred to the Shelby Lions Club in April, 2009. He was previously a member of the Fairport Lions Club in Fairport, NY. While in the Fairport Lions Club, he served on the Board of Directors, served as Vice President, and served as Chairperson of the Canal Days Food Concession Committee. Since transferring to the Shelby Lions Club, Lion Dave has served on the Board of Directors, served as Vice President and served as Club President. He serves on several committees including the Commodities Distribution Committee, the Hearing & Blind Conservation Committee, and the Brighter Visions Committee. He has served as Membership Chairperson for the Shelby Club for two years. Lion Dave served as D31A Zone 11 Chairperson in 2011 – 2012 and again in 2013-2014.
Additionally, Lion Dave serves on the Board of Directors at Lions Senior Village and is a member of Shelby Presbyterian Church.
Lion Dave is a recipient of the 2011 Shelby Lion of the Year and the 2007 Robert Uplinger Distinguished Service Award (New York’s equivalent to the Jack Stickley). He also has a 2012 Melvin Jones Fellow, a 2013 Jack Stickley Fellow and a William L Woolard Partner in Service.
Lion Dave received his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY many years ago. He retired from Xerox Corporation after a 28 year career, mostly in Rochester, NY and then started an independent consulting business where he helped clients implement computer software systems.
He has been married to Lori for 47 years. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Lion Dave enjoys golfing, travelling, and spending time with family.
